Internship Opportunities at YCDA

Learn Through Experience. Contribute to Development.

YCDA offers internship opportunities for postgraduate students, emerging professionals, and individuals with relevant academic backgrounds who wish to gain practical experience in the development sector.

Our internship programme provides exposure to community-based development initiatives, organisational processes, programme implementation, and development practices. Interns have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, strengthen their technical and professional competencies, and contribute to initiatives addressing the needs of children, families, and communities.

Depending on the nature of the assignment, internships may include field exposure, research, documentation, data management, programme support, and organisational learning.

Areas of Internship

YCDA welcomes applications from candidates interested in the following areas:

• Human Rights and Entitlements: Supporting awareness, access to rights, and linkages with relevant government schemes and services.
• Process Documentation and Data Management: Assisting with programme documentation, data organisation, reporting, and knowledge management.
• Resource Mobilization and Partnership Development: Supporting proposal development, donor research, communication, and partnership initiatives.
• Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PME): Contributing to programme planning, indicator tracking, data analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
• Human Resource Management: Supporting HR documentation, personnel administration, and organisational development processes.

Internship assignments may vary according to organisational priorities, project requirements, candidate qualifications, and the duration of engagement.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are invited from postgraduate students, recent graduates, and candidates with relevant specialised qualifications who demonstrate an interest in social development, community engagement, and inclusive growth.

Candidates should have a willingness to learn, good communication and documentation skills, and a professional approach to assigned responsibilities. Relevant academic knowledge, analytical ability, and fieldwork readiness will be considered an advantage.
