World Mental Health Day Celebration
On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Youth Council for Development Alternatives (YCDA) organized a special awareness event to promote mental well-being, emotional resilience, and positive mental health among children, adolescents, youth, and community members. The event served as a platform to encourage open conversations about mental health and to raise awareness about the importance of seeking support and fostering emotional well-being.
Through interactive sessions, discussions, awareness campaigns, and community engagement activities, participants explored topics such as stress management, self-care, emotional intelligence, healthy relationships, and the importance of creating supportive environments for mental wellness. The programme emphasized that mental health is an essential part of overall health and well-being.
The celebration encouraged participants to break the stigma surrounding mental health, support one another, and build stronger, more resilient communities. Through this observance, YCDA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting mental health awareness, psychosocial well-being, and the development of safe and supportive spaces where every individual can thrive.
