Village Child Protection Committee Promotes Safe Practices at Home:
The Village Level Child Protection Committees of Boudh & Balangir have taken up different innovative activities to raise awareness among the community about the COVID-19 & its prevention measures. The members are actively involved in Govt. PDS distribution of rations to the families & observed the Sanitation & Social distancing protocols.
In all villages the Committee members along with health workers are regularly visiting the families & empower the caregivers on parenting skills on DO & Don’ts at home as a preventive approach and psycho- social care.
Awareness in daily markets through practical demonstration:
Handwashing camps have been organized in 15 different daily markets across Boudh and Bolangir in the past week. Enabling people right way to wash their hands and when to wash hands along with importance and tips on practicing social distancing methods in families and communities.

Only Good Cops! No Bad Cops! Community Policing!
Social media has been flooded with videos of police playing the role of bad cops always. YCDA collaborated with local Police and organized awareness camps where people were provided with sanitation kits including face masks and soaps. This approach not only created a huge impact in the minds of the people about awareness on COVID-19 but also drew a positive bond among the police and public!
